SUNFO Director General Peace Ambassador Dr.Deshapriya S. Wijetunge paid a courtesy visit at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Male, Republic of Maldives on 27 June,2011 and had a meeting with His Excellency Dickson Sarathchandra Dela, The High Commissioner.
He discussed about Sri Lanka-LMaldives Cooperation and objectives of his visit to Maldives specially establishing Maldives-Sri Lanka Forum, soliciting the support of President, Youth Minster , and Youth Organizations in Maldives for the South Asian Youth Peace Camp-2011 in Sri Lanka and the representation of a Delegation from Maldivian Youth Organizations and the Youth Ministry to join SAPYC.
Also they discussed social and related issues of a large Sri Lankan workforce serving in Maldives as well as historical relationships and peoples to people cooperation in both nations.

High Commissioner assured his fullest support for Maldives-Sri Lanka Forum hosted by SUNFO-HAD and hosted a dinner for SUNFO delegation at the High Commission Residency.
