SUNFO Director General Peace Ambassador Dr.Deshapriya S. Wijetunge met a delegation from Indian Higher Educational Institutes in Karnataka Province, who visited Sri Lanka
Prof.Basavaraja Ramanal- Chairman, Karnataka Group of Institutions (www.karnatakaeducationtrust.com) Dr.K.S.Sreeraj –Vice Principal India Academy Degree College, (www.iadcollege.com), Dr.Prof.U.T.Ifthikar Ali (www.drmvst.ac.in) and Dr.S.Devarajulu –Principal, Bangalore City College (www.bangalorecitycollege.org ) with Mission Coordinated by SUNFO Youth Service Award Winner Mr.Galgamuwa met on 17-06-2011 in Colombo.
During this discussion this distinguished academics explained that past number of years they had provided opportunities to a large number of Sri Lankan students to pursue their higher education and will expend the avenues further in years to come. Dr.Wijetunge informed them that SUNFO had several links with civil society in Bangalore-Karnataka and its is expected to have several joint-youth and intergenerational activities in the future too. Academic Institutional heads invited and extended the goodwill of hosting any future delegations of SUNFO to Bangalore to visit their institutions too. Dr. Wijetunge stated the SUNFO wishes to open more doors to develop links with students in those institutions through inter-cultural and friendship activities.
